Glaé Macalós's mastery in aquafortis and aquatint etching techniques shines through in this fascinating print. She masterfully coordinates five colors to enrich the print imagery. Undoing balls of yarn has a specific meaning in my work. They are always present in the domestic chores of our mothers, aunts and grandmothers, explains Macalós. In my prints, the balls of yarn appear like a metaphor of the artistic work, whereupon the artist must find the thread or strand that leads her to the meeting with oneself, and to liberation.
