In the olden days, we received visitors with a drink of water to show they were welcome, Ghanaian artisan Henry Kwabena Ofori explains. He creates the image in a beautiful relief sculpture he names Akawaaba – Welcome in the Akan language. Mounted on a velvet wall panel, it is framed in sapele wood.
