Crafted by hand, this jewelry box by Julio Sanchez is a superb example of a traditional Peruvian art. Richly tooled leather flows across cedar and mohena, a fine Andean hardwood, to recall classic colonial art. It opens to reveal a mirror in the lid and a lift-out tray with three compartments. The chest has ornate bronze handles on each side.
