Designed for Bali's traditional wayang, this shadow puppet personifies Raja Singa, the King of Lions. According to Balinese beliefs, he is a protector, the owner of the jungle, and not only leader of its pack, but also of all the animals in the jungle. Kadek Wira crafts the leather puppet by hand painting the body red as a symbol of his royal nature. Includes bamboo rods and an albesia wood stand.
