The catcher crouches with outstretched glove as the batter prepares to swing. The excitement of baseball inspires Armando Ramírez. He fashions the figures from discarded pieces of wire and sparkplugs. Metal bits left from a die cutter become the glove, heads, feet and home plate. Ramírez does not give his sculptures a fine polished finish, therefore smudges and scratches may be present.
