A favorite in the traditional Mexican lotto games, a rooster crows to welcome the day. Armando Ramírez shapes the bird by recycling metal of all kinds. Clutch rods and cogwheels from a driveshaft become its body and head, while sheet metal is transformed into wings and tail, beak and crest. Heavy wire forms the legs and feet, and screws become fierce spurs. Ramírez does not give his sculptures a fine polished finish, therefore smudges and scratches may be present.
