Thinking of horsepower, Armando Ramírez conjures a fantastical being that is half-equine, half-motorbike. He works with a collection of recycled auto parts as well as scrap metal, and recycles them into this imaginative sculpture. Different pieces from a car's clutch pedal are used for the horse's head and motorbike wheel, while spark plugs become the stallion's body and connecting rods shape its front legs. A variety of bearings, wires and discarded pieces from a die machine complete this original sculpture. Ramírez does not give his sculptures a fine polished finish, therefore smudges and scratches may be present.
