It's the last seconds of the game and the ball is in the basket in an entertaining sculpture by Mexico's Armando Ramirez. His ingenious sense of art is evident in the admirable way in which he recycles scrap metal. The players' bodies, for example, are car spark plugs, and their limbs are shaped from long screws. Ramirez uses discarded pieces from a die machine to shape the players' heads. The ball is made up of two hoops made from metal sheets. Please note it is the artist's intention not to give his sculptures a fine polished finish, therefore smudges and scratches may be present.
