Leaping magnificently over waves, a dolphin appears like an emissary of friendship. Gaspar Mendoza hand-carves the marine-themed puzzle box of mahogany wood in three parts: the waves, the dolphin's body, and its belly and fin. The eyes and drawer are carved from granadillo wood. Mendoza recommends the use of linseed oil when wiping, to preserve the wood's natural beauty.
