Birds will gather just about anything they can to build a nest. We've seen them fly off with wrapping paper, twigs, plastic spoons, all the fur our dogs shed, and even a sandal once (It was either a really big bird or a really small sandal, we can't remember). That's why we like to collect some of the really cool ones from around the neighborhood once they're done with them. Our most recent finds have included some really awesome ones around the various glitter factories that dot the countryside. The excess glitter ends up covering the dead sticks and branches that the chirpers end up picking up and bringing back to make their fabulous little homes. We think they'd look awesome with a sinister Halloween crow that actually just dreams to be a wonderful dancer but just hasn't been able to quite overcome how scary he looks. That or maybe he just likes shiny things.
