Once upon a time, there lived a tree near a pumpkin patch. It was an apple tree, or maybe a peach tree. Possibly orange. It doesn’t really matter. It didn’t want to be an apple tree, or peach, or orange, whatever. Deep down, inside its heartwood and its roots and stuff, it wanted to be a pumpkin tree. It called itself Pumpnocchio and the other apple or peach or orange trees (seriously, it doesn’t matter) couldn’t convince it otherwise. It only dreamed of being true to itself, which is, you know, a good thing and all that.So one day it became an Orange Mini Pumpkin Stem. It doesn’t matter how, we’re guessing mad scientists or wizards were involved. But it started to grow these mini pumpkins all over its limbs. And it shrunk, because it wasn’t really tree-sized anymore. It was really just a small stem of a tree with orange mini pumpkins all over. The end! |
