Kittiya selects a vibrant shade of purple to frame the legendary beauty of Lisu hill tribe appliqué. Adorning the front and back panels of the handbag, the multicolored appliqué is sewn by hand. The cotton handbag is lined in black and has two pockets, one with a zipper. The Lisu of northern Thailand make their own clothes by sewing row upon row of multicolored strips of cloth, appliqué, tassels, and beadwork. Their distinguishing style is the overlapping stripes which they create by mixing colors.
