Java's Wahyu Sulistiani puts together a set of three trendy totes that also fold and zip up, ideal to keep in the handbag. Working with batik techniques on cotton, Sulistiani selects the ancient Javanese Jawadwipa theme which includes the parang (dagger) in cream, red, yellow and blue. The second bag with a palette of maroon, black and brown hues is decorated with the sawunggaling, once favored by Javanese sultans for it represents the beauty and might of Javanese culture. The third bag features the Madura, after the island of the same name, and features floral motifs in shades of brown, purple and black.
