Featuring a gold tone trim with floral motifs against a teal body on reverse-painted glass panels, this jewelry box is simply charming. Reverse-painted glass involves a technique where motifs and designs are painted by hand on one side and then flipped over so that the images can be seen through its smooth surface. The box is designed by Peru's Edmundo Contreras, inspired by the life work of his mother. A small compartment rests above two smaller drawers in this amazing creation, opening at the top with a hinged lid to reveal a black interior with a glass mirror on the inside of the lid.
