Vines unfurl their leaves on tealight candleholders that reveal the intricate beauty of India's legendary jali (openwork). Narendra Kumar is the keeper of a family tradition that goes back generations and has become an expert in his own right. Working with gray soapstone, he carves each candleholder by hand featuring a stand for the tealight. This allows for a greater appreciation of the magnificence of the jali composition. Each item in a set is unique thanks to Kumar's respect of soapstone’s natural color, grain and veins, and he doesn't use any colors or dyes. Please expect slight variations in color though the overall theme will remain the same.
