Carved of African sese wood, this mask seems angry. Its sleek contours depict eyes that slant toward a narrow nose and sensuous mouth. Nana Frimpong names this design Ka nia wo pe, meaning say whatever you want in the language of Ghana's Akan people. Sometimes when you insult someone, the person just looks at you without uttering a word and afterward tells you, 'You can say whatever you want.'
