Ghana's Ali Mohammed creates the original design of this sese wood mask featuring etched patterns that resemble tribal markings. Mohammed paints them in white over the black mask. On the forehead he details the Adinkra symbol known as Sankofa on the right, which encourages to learn from the past. A dancing elephant stands on the left side. Mohammed names his design Nkabom, which in Akan means Togetherness.
