Featuring a textured surface, this African mask is hand-carved from local sese wood and accented with sheets of embossed aluminum. Ghanaian artisan Awudu Saaed presents his own design in the mask, painting it by hand to give it a multi-tone look. The artisan names the mask Bori, a word meaning beautiful in the language of the Zarma tribe of Niger.
