When Eddie Hall (Gable--Gone with the Wind) meets Ruby Adams (Harlow--Dinner at Eight), he gives up a life of crime for her and the two move in together without getting married. But when Hall's inevitable womanizing leads Adams to take up with another man, Hall stages a robbery to make Adams' love pay. The heist goes bad; Adams' lover is killed; and Hall leaves her to take the fall and go to prison--pregnant with Hall's child.
