The musical legacy of West Africa inspires the art of Eric Darko. He designs ornate patterns and embossed aluminum motifs to decorate this genuine djembe drum. Originating in Benin, it is widely used by the Ga and Ewe tribes of Ghana. Darko's original version is carved from tweneboa wood featuring a goat hide drumhead. Darko calls this design Adom, the Akan term for Grace.
