Buddha taught that all living creatures exist within the cycle of life – birth, age, death – but a wholesome existence guided by proper understanding, contemplation, and concentration releases one. The lotus is Buddha's preferred offering, and lotus leaves represent the passing of time and the concept of impermanence for Natthaporn. She works in the xylograph, or woodcut technique to depict leaves in varying stages of life and death.
