Glowing with ardent color, a woman runs from the looming green darkness. Vines reach out to grasp her as she hurries forward, undaunted. Liberty is her goal and destiny in this exquisite abstract. In this work, the white, blank canvas permitted me the freedom to fill a wide, thick brush with thinner and oils, and apply a very liquid color to the canvas. I followed my personal rhythms and only applied paint to the portions I wanted to highlight, says artist Isabel Rejtman. Titled La huida in Spanish.
