Working in dazzling colors, Flor Pachas conveys the extraordinary beauty of the Peruvian countryside. Long, low mountains embrace the quiet landscape as dawn gilds blue skies above. Her simplified line seeks their structural presence, enhanced by rich textures achieved with the palette knife. Their movement suggests the force of the elements — air, sun, wind and earth, all fed by the essential element of water. They find harmony in their unity, she says. I chose the name as a symbol of the shapes, their colors and movement. Trees, valleys, mountains, and clean air that together transmit peace and calm. Titled Personificando... in Spanish.
