A stroll on the banks of Pachachaka River in the Peruvian Department of Apurimac inspires Fredy Rios to create this admirable abstract composition. Painting with oils, he mixes a palette of colors that mirror Pachachaka's turquoise waters as they bathe and splutter on rocks. It is an idyllic location that earned its nomination as Historical Patrimony of the Nation. Rios adds depth to his painting by adding texture with sawdust and acrylic resin. Titled Pachachaka Mayu in Quechua.
