Not wanting to be left behind, a little boy runs after his mother as she drives away to the market. The intensity of the child's despair comes through the canvas as John Atta Mensah paints the scene with cubist styling. Mensah's expert use of color and perspective conveys the illusion of the child running away from the viewer.
