Ornate lines trace a foot beneath green lotus buds. Parinya Nanjai depicts the Phra Phutthabat, or footprint of Buddha. When Buddha stepped back onto earth after reaching enlightenment, his feet made an imprint where he stepped, the first and most honored of these being the supposed imprint atop Adam's Peak in Ceylon. These footprints are venerated in all Buddhist countries. The painting is framed in rubber tree wood.
