These brushes easily slide of the 16 inch metal brush core, and save you a lot of money over buying an entire brush roll assembly. Simply remove the rubber end cap boots, and use a pair of pliers to remove the nut at the end of the axle, and remove the axle completely. You should see a small indent where the brush bar cap fits into the brush core, and small space just large enough for a flat head screwdriver. Simply pry both bearing blocks off each side, and slide the old brushes out with a pair of pliers. Make sure to align the tracks on the new strips properly, and gently tap the brush strip into the metal core using a hammer.
