Superbly carved by Salihu Ibrahim, a man and woman form a family. The woman wears a red cotton skirt and holds a baby to her nourishing breast. The man holds food, symbolizing his responsibility as the head of the family for making sure they are always well-fed. These beautiful sculptures are representative of the Baule people from CĂ´te d'Ivoire.
