Arising unsullied from the muddy bottom of a lotus pond, a single blossom opens to hold Buddha. Three buds promise to bloom and leaves frame the reverent image from Eka. The Enlightened One sits in the lotus position, one hand raised in blessing. The details are spectacular, evidenced in the graceful flow of the master's robe and the delicacy of fingers and features. Natural hibiscus wood varies greatly in its tonalities, therefore every sculpture will have an absolutely unique shading and grain.
