The patient leans forward and gazes into the lens while the doctor conducts the eye exam. Both are shaped from sparkplugs with arms and legs of metal bars. Nuts and bolts, rings and die cut scraps become ophthalmologic equipment and the whimsical figures stand on a die plate. Armando Ramírez transforms castoff auto parts into art. Ramírez does not give his sculptures a fine polished finish, therefore smudges and scratches may be present.
