Diana Dewi introduces an endearing couple of toothpick holders portraying a Chinese bride and groom, hearkening from when Java was a Dutch colony and Chinese merchants were frequent visitors. Each mahogany wood holder is carved and painted by hand depicting traditional batik costumes with a Javanese shadow puppet illustration. The upper portion of each figurine detaches from the base, revealing a space for toothpicks.
