The design of this fruit bowl is inspired by the steps on the pyramids of Tikal, and I crafted it with palo blanco and hormigo woods. The arched base is designed after the arches in some of the old churches, says Guatemala's Hugo Peña of his inspiration. He crafts the fruit bowl by hand, finishing with the darker grain of maquilishuat wood for the rim.
