Carved by hand, a sea turtle showcases the natural grain of African guarea wood. George Obeng designs this sculpture as a tray with a shallow concave shell. In the center is the ram's horn adinkra symbol known as Dwennimen in the Twi language. It represents both strength and the humility needed to acquire knowledge.
