Abdul Salami Amadu etches the double gong or nno nno on the outer contours of this traditional large wooden bowl. Ghana’s Ga people use the nno nno to call the attention of the people in the community when an announcement is to be made. Amadu carves the black and red centerpiece from sese wood and chisels the composition with admirable dexterity.
