This is the road to a ritual of faith and a glimpse of a past rich in cultural identity. It is a look at regional traditions to add a personal symbology to this pre-Hispanic fiesta, Luis Oscar Figueroa Garcia muses. The Mexican artist depicts masked dancers in acrylics, metallic paints and paper cutouts applied to a digitally printed photograph on watercolor paper to depict the pre-Hispanic rites. Titled Visión ancestral in Spanish, the collage is framed in pinewood with a mat board passe-partout. It forms part of the artist's Danza Mayor series.
